There are many people whom I wish to thank, but only a few
whom I can publicly name at this time.
Soon after I became involved in the murder, a written order
was issued within the Fort Worth Police Department that I
was not to be given information or access to the Walker file.
Many co-workers refused to obey this order, and did so at
their own risk. There were others, like Leonard Shilling who
did take action that ultimately freed an innocent man. My
sincere thanks to those persons within the Fort Worth Police
Department have helped me all these years.
A special thanks also goes to the many former friends of
William Ted Wilhoit, who, through their desire to see justice
for Carla, have given me information.
Additionally, I would like to express my appreciation to
those law enforcement officers outside Fort Worth who are
now helping my cause.
Other people deserving special recognition are the family
of Carla Walker, as well as other crime victims who had the
courage to share their stories and thoughts with me.
Finally, a very big thanks to the men and women of the media
who have helped keep this very important issue current.

Most goals are reached because of the input of many. When this
goal is accomplished (and I believe that it will be), the credit
will belong to all those who helped in various ways. This writing
is an attempt to recognize those who have given of themselves
in various ways:
Dr. and Mrs. Ben Hutson, for their suggestions and direction;
Cassidee and Jaime of EJ Web Design, my Ohio family, who
so generously volunteered their time and talents toward the
creation of www.justiceforcarla.com;
Mrs. Doris Walker and Cindy, for sharing their memories of
Carla with me;
Dawn Sutherland and Virginia Duncan at Greenwood Memorial
Park, who located Carla's marker for me;
Debbie Reeves Moss, for her help in linking Carla's site
to the WHHS Alumni Homepage;
Deborah Jean Carney, my friend and an official N.E.R.D. (New
England Real estate Diva), for the card design;
Doug and Vangie Heffron, Julie Cheek, Vickie "free at
last" Johnson, Willie and Francis Mitchell, "Wild
Bill" and Sandra Storie, Kelly Brown, Heather Bryant,
Cheryle Dangell-Hill, Major Danny Boitnott, U.S. Army (Retired),
Blair Phillips, Jennifer Motley, Dr. Gilbert Hinga, Julie
Tennyson, Trenzio Turner, Kristi Thetford, Jesse Marquez-L,
Chelsea Behymer, Pam Boivie, and the Xi Nu Chapter of the
Delta Zeta Sorority for all of your prayers, kind words, and
support;
Rick, for the photographs;
Judy, who supported my decision to assist with this case,
and who quietly accepted my absence during the trips to and
from Fort Worth, the lengthy phone calls and the nightly computer
time, and never once complained. Without your support, this
site would not be a reality. Thank you, sweetheart; I love
you;
And finally John. Thank you for the example.
